CIPPIC offers outstanding law students an unequaled opportunity to work in our Summer Internship Program on cutting-edge law and technology research and advocacy.

About the Internship: Working closely with CIPPIC lawyers, interns learn how to be effective researchers, policy analysts, and advocates while contributing to public interest policy and law reform in such areas as copyright law, privacy, artificial intelligence, consumer protection, communications regulation, and civil liberties online.

The program is open to all law students, including graduate law students, who have completed at least one year of law school. It runs twelve weeks, from Monday, May 11th, 2026 – Friday, July 31st, 2026.  Interns will receive a stipend of $10,000 over the 12-week period.

Application Requirements: The application consists of a cover letter, a resume, unofficial law school transcripts, and a three to five-page writing sample. CIPPIC staff will conduct interviews in person, or by virtual meeting, at the applicant’s discretion. Interviews take place in early April.
